Since December 2024, the new ICNG (Intercity New Generation) trains serve this cross-border route at speeds up to 200 km/h. No reservation is needed — simply buy your ticket and board. The route passes through Rotterdam, Breda, and into Belgium.

Since December 2024, modern ICNG (Intercity New Generation) trains operate the EuroCity Direct service between the Netherlands and Belgium. These trains run at up to 200 km/h and offer a comfortable, modern interior with power outlets and WiFi at every seat.
